Beautiful but vulnerable Impala

They are slender, well camouflaged, and extremely adaptable when it comes to habitat, as long as they can remain close to a water source. They have to drink preferably twice a day. With their heads down when they drink, they are quite vulnerable to predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. Luckily the old adage of "safety in numbers" applies to a large extent.
